HCMC – The HCMC Department of Industry and Trade has kicked off the first phase of a three-month promotional campaign designed to stimulate consumer demand.
During the initial three-week of the first phase, over 7,000 promotional programs have already been launched by more than 3,300 businesses, offering discounts of up to 100%.
For instance, MM Mega Market is offering various sales promotions on their 2,000 products, including promotional hours, same-price promotions, and discounts of up to 90%.
This year, the first phase of the city’s promotional campaign has been extended to three months, three times longer than in previous years. The first month features special promotions that encourage cashless payment and will be extended until July 15.
During the second month, from July 15 to August 15, a shopping tourism program will take place. Participating enterprises will collaborate to create attractive promotional programs and provide information about local spending, aiming to position HCMC as an appealing tourist destination.
The third month, running from August 15 to September 15, will showcase promotions in collaboration with renowned brand names.
These events are part of the concentrated promotional campaign, “Shopping Season 2023,” which aims to create favorable conditions for enterprises to promote their products and make them easily accessible to consumers at reasonable prices.
In the first half of the year, HCMC’s total retail sales and services revenue is estimated at VND561,000 billion, a 7.1% increase compared to the previous year, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
