HCMC – Vietnam and Singapore will be expanding energy cooperation, with a focus on wind power and other renewable sources.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien met with his Singaporean counterpart on March 20 to discuss energy transition, digital economy, digital transformation and green economy in addition to traditional sectors.
Both ministers acknowledged the significant contributions of businesses to promoting cooperation in clean energy and recognized the mutual benefits derived from this sector.
Singapore is Vietnam’s fourth-largest trading partner in ASEAN and the second-largest foreign investor. Bilateral trade between the two countries was US$9.1 billion in 2023 and US$1.5 billion in the first two months of this year.
