HCMC – As much as VND174 trillion was disbursed for businesses in HCMC as part of a business-bank connecting program in the first quarter, making up 34% of the total package value, the State Bank of Vietnam HCMC branch reported.
The loans have provided crucial support to businesses, alleviating their hardships and spurring economic growth in the city.
Through the program, 42,000 businesses received VND174 trillion during the January-March period.
Seventeen banks in the city are participating in the program, offering preferential loans at a short-term interest rate of 4% per year, and pledging a total of nearly VND510 trillion. Businesses registered for the package enjoy reduced interest rates on existing loans, debt rescheduling, preferential rates for new loans, and increased lending capacity.
