HCMC – The HCMC Department of Transport has announced a temporary ban on vehicle traffic through nine roads in the city center, including Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, on the mornings of June 29 and July 1.
The restriction is to ensure traffic order during the ceremony for the establishment of grassroots security forces. From 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on both days, vehicles will be prohibited from traveling on parts of the following roads: Tran Hung Dao, Le Loi, Ham Nghi, Le Lai, Huynh Thuc Khang, Phan Chu Trinh, Phan Boi Chau, Pham Ngu Lao, and Pho Duc Chinh.
To alleviate traffic congestion during this period, the department recommends the following alternative routes:
Vehicles traveling from District 5 to District 1 can take the route: Tran Hung Dao (District 5)-Ky Con-Le Thi Hong Gam-Pho Duc Chinh-Nguyen Cong Tru-Pasteur (District 1) or Tran Hung Dao (District 5)-Nguyen Thai Hoc-Nguyen Thi Nghia-roundabout Phu Dong Thien Vuong-Ly Tu Trong (District 1).
To travel from District 1 to District 5, residents could opt for the route: Pasteur (District 1)-Le Thanh Ton-Pham Hong Thai-Nguyen Thi Nghia-Nguyen Thai Hoc-Tran Hung Dao (District 5) or Pasteur (District 1)-Nguyen Cong Tru-Ky Con-Tran Hung Dao (District 5).
