HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has announced a decision selecting investors for maintenance and equipment projects at Long Thanh International Airport, at a total cost of nearly VND1.6 trillion.
The two projects involve the construction, provision, and operation of repair and maintenance services for vehicles, aviation equipment, and ground technical commercial services, essential for the airport’s Phase 1 operations.
The investment scope covers facilities for repairing and maintaining vehicles and aviation equipment, managing aircraft cleaning operations, auxiliary components, integrated technical infrastructure, and necessary equipment for business operations.
According to the Ministry of Transport, each project requires a preliminary investment of VND781 billion. The projects are expected to take about 18 months to complete.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will launch a competitive tender to select investors for the projects, with the selection process set to begin in the third quarter of 2024.
