According to Sergey Nam, CEO of Kusto Home, sustainability is a core value that the real estate developer always strives for. This sustainability comes not only from the “green” living elements in their residential projects but also from the positive contributions that the Dare To Run online running event and the Darrior community offer to society.
Reaching an impressive 450,000 km milestone
Since the launch, what impressive milestones has the second season of the Dare To Run event achieved?
– Sergey Nam: The Dare To Run race is not just a sports event but also carries a profound message of community connection. To date, the race has attracted more than 2,800 participants, with the total distance completed reaching nearly 450,000 km—far exceeding the initial goal of 150,000 km.
The first season of Dare To Run was a great success. I am extremely proud that this year, Kusto Home was able to continue that success and organize the second season. Our team was particularly enthusiastic and passionate about participating in the race.
Can you share the main objectives of this year’s Dare To Run season? How do these goals align with Kusto Home’s mission and strategic vision?
– Sergey Nam: In the first season, held from September 25 to October 15, 2023, Dare To Run attracted more than 2,200 participants, achieved the goal of 100,000 km, and raised VND200 million to fund the construction of a bridge in Song Ma District, Son La Province.
Building on that success, this year, we set a distance goal of 150,000 km. Each kilometer is converted into VND1,000, corresponding to a fundraising target of VND150 million to build a bridge for children and residents in Tan Lap Hamlet, Tan Quy Tay Commune, Sa Dec City, Dong Thap Province.
Additionally, another important goal is to build the Darrior community and continue to grow it stronger after each season. This is the name we use to refer to those who participate in Dare To Run, contributing directly to the charitable goals while also achieving their personal running objectives.
For me, the success of a business or a businessman is not just measured in material wealth or money but also in the positive value they bring to the community. At Kusto Home, our vision is to become one of the leading international real estate developers in Vietnam. Sustainability is the value we always aim for. This sustainability is not only reflected in the “green” living aspects of our projects but also in the positive contributions we and the Darrior community can make to the community and society in Vietnam.
In your opinion, what factors have contributed to the success of the season so far?
– Sergey Nam: The fact that the number of participants and the amount of money raised have exceeded the initial goals so early, just two weeks after the official start of the season, are very positive signs. I am delighted that the message of living healthily and exercising daily to contribute to society has been well received.
This season, having athlete Nguyen Van Long as the race ambassador and the 5h30 Club as a media partner has helped spread the word about Dare To Run to many runners across the country, leading to the race achieving very impressive numbers. Therefore, I highly appreciate both the results and the partnerships involved in organizing this year’s season.
Mission to Build a Sustainable Future
What motivated Kusto Home to partner with Hope Foundation once again and choose bridge construction as the charitable project for Dare To Run 2024?
– Sergey Nam: Kusto Home highly values the charitable projects of Hope Foundation because they truly bring great value to society, aligning closely with our mission to create a sustainable future.
In 2023, we successfully raised funds to build a bridge in Hin Pen Village, Song Ma District, Son La Province. When we look back at the images before and after the bridge’s completion in March 2024, we see that this project has brought significant benefits to the community, especially the local children. This inspired Kusto Home to continue choosing bridge construction as the charitable goal for this year’s event, with the hope of bringing similar positive changes to the residents of Tan Lap Hamlet, Dong Thap Province.
Recently, Kusto Home has engaged in various sports cum charity activities. Could you share what this means for the direction the company is pursuing?
– Sergey Nam: The value of sustainability is embedded in both Kusto Home’s project development philosophy and corporate culture. In developing our projects, we always focus significant resources on bringing nature and resort-style experiences into living spaces. This creates sustainability, health benefits, and promotes a healthy and balanced lifestyle for residents. These are also the messages and values that Dare To Run aims to convey.
In our corporate culture, Kusto Home consistently strives to create a work environment that encourages all employees to continually develop, becoming the best version of themselves. The sports activities combined with charity work offer an excellent opportunity for all Kusto Home employees to participate, improve their health, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and create tangible benefits.
Moreover, we are always aware of the story of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in our goal of developing a better community. We aim to elevate our CSR activities beyond regular charitable programs, creating a network of like-minded individuals who share the same aspirations to jointly develop programs that have long-term impacts and strategic significance for the community.
Thank you very much for your insights!
