HCMC – Taiwan is gearing up to host Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan 2024 from October 2 to 4 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2, with the goal of driving progress toward net-zero and fostering sustainable business opportunities.

Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan 2024 is known as Taiwan’s largest B2B renewable energy and net-zero trade show, co-organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Green Energy and Sustainability Alliance (GESA).

The event is organized in response to the global push for net-zero goals and sustainability, driven by rising energy demands from sectors like data centers and AI, alongside the urgent need to address climate change challenges.

During the pre-exhibition press conference on September 30, Chun-Li Lee, deputy director general, Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan, underscored that net-zero carbon emissions are a global objective. He noted that the authority is stepping up the development of diverse green energy sources while promoting deep energy savings to make the 2050 net-zero target more tangible.

Echoing the view, Terry Tsao, global chief marketing officer and president of Taiwan, SEMI, remarked, “As the global tech industry continues to expand rapidly, transitioning to net-zero is the only way to tackle the challenges of climate change.”

With this exchange platform, SEMI and GESA actively promote collaboration between industries and government green energy policies and technologies, aiming to position net-zero green energy as a primary objective and jointly seize sustainable business opportunities in international markets, he added.

Simon Wang, President and CEO of TAITRA, said that the event is expected to revitalize market opportunities and mark a significant step toward sustainable innovation.

“As industries progress in their digital and green transformations, Energy Taiwan and Net Zero Taiwan play a crucial role in uniting the green energy and net-zero sectors, thereby accelerating the transformation process. This year’s exhibition has achieved remarkable milestones: with 480 exhibitors and 1,625 booths, it is the largest in history, showcasing a 30% growth and reaching an all-time high of 20% international participation,” he remarked.

A key highlight of the event is the Carbon Academy, which offers a practical net-zero crash course tailored for businesses, covering topics such as carbon inventory, carbon neutrality verification, carbon pricing management, ESG strategy, and sustainable development.
