HCMC – Investors have proposed expanding the HCMC-Trung Luong-My Thuan Expressway to eight or 10 lanes, including two emergency stopping lanes. The project is planned for implementation from this year to 2028.
According to the investment plan, the 91-kilometer project will require an estimated investment of around VND32,270 billion and will be developed under a public-private partnership (PPP).
The project will begin at the Cho Dem interchange at Km 9 in HCMC and end at the An Thai Trung interchange at Km 101 in Tien Giang Province.
Investors have proposed expanding the HCMC-Trung Luong section from the current four lanes plus two emergency stopping lanes to eight lanes, while the Trung Luong-My Thuan section will be widened from four lanes to six lanes, both with two emergency stopping lanes.
If approved, the project will be developed by a consortium comprising Deo Ca JVC, HCMC Technical Infrastructure Investment JVC, and Tasco JVC.
