With over a decade of experience in proactive healthcare products, especially immune support, Care For Vietnam (CFVN) understands the critical role of disease prevention and early healthcare, with nutrition being fundamental to building sustainable health. CFVN is committed to leveraging its advantages, experience, and resources to foster a healthy Vietnamese community.

Nutrition for Children Project – targeting disadvantaged areas

Launched in late 2023, the “Nutrition for Children” project was created with a deep understanding of the urgent need for nutritious meals, especially for children in disadvantaged areas where limited family finances hinder their comprehensive development. This initiative is part of the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s “Nutrition for Poor and Disabled Children” program.

Since its inception, the project has provided nutritious meals worth VND453 million to children in provinces such as Lao Cai, Dien Bien, Son La, Bac Kan, Quang Tri, Soc Trang, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Dak Nong.

At An Thanh Kindergarten, under Ban Mai Kindergarten in Thong Nhat Commune, Lao Cai City, the effects were notable. After more than three months of enhanced nutrition in the daily diet, the rate of malnutrition and stunted growth among children significantly decreased. Parents now send their children to school more regularly, leading to increased attendance, better encouragement for school enrollment, and comprehensive development.

CFVN also focuses on fostering basic nutritional awareness among children in highland areas, helping them learn self-care and laying the foundation for holistic development. This was achieved through the “REACH HIGH – REACH FAR” program, launched in September in Dien Bien, Soc Trang, and Quang Tri provinces.

A long-term commitment to proactive healthcare education

With a commitment to raising public awareness about proactive healthcare, CFVN coordinated with the National Center for Health Communication and Education under the Ministry of Health to conduct a series of workshops in 2022-2023. These workshops focused on proactive healthcare skills and boosting immunity, benefiting over 2,000 participants.

Held across nine provinces and cities — including Hanoi, Haiphong, Nghe An, Binh Duong, Quang Nam, and others — the training covered topics like nutrition, reproductive health, mental well-being, sexual health, and prevention of occupational diseases and accidents. The aim was to promote sustainable health for productive work and family care.

Nong Thi Ha, a 35-year-old worker from Van Trung Commune, said that she rarely paid attention to the nutritional value of her meals due to her busy schedule. “The discussions by doctors and experts were practical and easy to understand. I hope to improve the nutrition in my daily meals for the well-being of my family and myself.”

In 2024, CFVN extended its efforts by organizing workshops on nutrition and immunity for women raising children at SOS Children’s Villages in Hanoi and Go Vap. These sessions provided age-appropriate nutritional guidance, supporting families in raising healthy children with balanced diets.

Humanitarian medical services and healthcare communication

As a key player in the healthcare industry, CFVN strives to provide healthcare to disadvantaged communities through long-term medical projects in collaboration with the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Ministry of Health.

The company has offered free medical examinations and treatment programs, including the Humanitarian Medical Examination Program and health communication events in Phu Tho (2019), Ben Tre (2021), and Nghe An (2022). In 2024, CFVN has partnered with the National Center for Health Education and Communication to provide health check-ups and medicine to more than 1,000 people in difficult circumstances in Binh Dinh and Dong Nai provinces.

Supporting the northern region

Since September 9, CFVN has joined forces with the Vietnam Family Health Care Foundation to launch the campaign “With the Vietnam Red Cross Society to support people affected by typhoon Yagi.” The campaign has raised nearly VND100 million through contributions from employees, business partners, and donors.

This initiative exemplifies the spirit of solidarity and mutual support — “the good leaves protect the tattered ones.” The financial and emotional support from this campaign helps flood-affected communities in Hanoi and northern provinces to recover from losses, rebuild, and return to normal life.
