HCMC – The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong is ramping up nightlife and high-quality tourism in its capital city of Dalat to attract more visitors.
Dalat is piloting night-time economy projects to leverage its potential and diversify its attractions. Key initiatives include pedestrian streets, a nighttime food market, and a night train tour, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
In line with its “Smart City” vision, the local government has introduced the dalat.vn portal, mobile applications, and city-wide Wifi that can support up to 50,000 users daily.
The city has also created a digital tourism map that offers information on attractions, dining, accommodations, shopping, and entertainment.
Renowned for its cool climate and scenic landscapes, Dalat is one of Vietnam’s top tourist destinations. Since 2022, the city has seen an average annual increase of 65.9% in tourist arrivals, with international visitors accounting for 5.8% of overnight stays, according to local authorities.
By 2025, Lam Dong aims to position Dalat as a modern, internationally recognized hub offering a wide range of shopping, sightseeing, and entertainment options for both domestic and international visitors.
