HCMC – The Airbus Group announced on October 25 that Hoang Tri Mai had been chosen as the new managing director for Airbus in Vietnam.

As part of the role, she will be responsible for overseeing all Airbus activities in the country, including support for sales and managing relationships with the Government and industry stakeholders.

Before joining Airbus, Mai held the position of country director of Rolls Royce in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and the Philippines. Born in Hanoi, she used to work for the Asia Commercial Bank.

Commenting on the appointment, Anand Stanley, president of Airbus Asia-Pacific, said, “Vietnam is a key market for Airbus and across all business areas. In addition, we have several important industrial partnerships in the country. We look forward to Mai developing our strong presence further, working closely with our customers, partners and other stakeholders.”

Mai will work at the Airbus office in Hanoi, replacing Jean-Michel Caldagues, who will retire at the end of this year, after 21 years of working for the company.
