HCMC – The Lam Dong Province People’s Council passed a resolution approving an additional VND3.76 trillion in funding for the Bao Loc–Lien Khuong Expressway project, raising the total budget for the first phase to VND18.52 trillion.
The resolution, passed on November 21, outlined six key updates to the project, including increased funding, revised land use, and adjusted compensation plans. The provincial budget contribution was increased to VND5.26 trillion, with a priority on land clearance and infrastructure development.
The expressway will now be built as a four-lane highway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027, following delays due to extended preparation work.
One significant change is a reduction in the conversion of forest land by 0.16 hectare. The project will also implement a revenue-sharing format under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Law, enabling state financial support for revenue shortfalls and profit-sharing if revenues exceed projections.
