HCMC – The 2030 Business Club, a member of the Saigon Times Club under the Saigon Times Group, on May 1 presented around VND1.37 billion worth of gifts to more than 850 underprivileged school children at Doan Duc Thai Secondary School in Bu Dang District, Binh Phuoc Province.
The presentation of the aid to the underprivileged children took place during a May 1-4 charity caravan tour which takes in Binh Phuoc, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces and features around 100 cars of club members and their family and friends.
The organizers presented 200 bicycles worth VND440 million, 150 scholarships worth VND150 million, 504 sets of learning materials worth VND252 million, 150 health insurance packages worth VND250 million, two motorcycles and two 65-inch television sets worth VND78 million, confectionery, milk, and 900 breakfast servings worth over VND100 million.
In total, the aid amounted to VND1.37 billion, reinforcing the long-standing commitment of the 2030 Business Club to uplifting disadvantaged students through education and social engagement.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the 2030 Business Club’s charity caravan program and coincides with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the nation (April 30, 1975-2025) and International Labor Day. The event was organized in collaboration with KN Cam Ranh Co., Ltd.
“The 20-year journey of the 2030 Charity Caravan has affirmed the enduring mission of businesspeople in contributing to the nation’s development,” said Trinh Van Thanh, head of the caravan organizing committee and former chairman of the 2030 Business Club.
“Over the past two decades, these journeys have gone beyond the act of giving. They have spread compassion, fostered community connections, and built a collective strength among kind-hearted entrepreneurs who empower disadvantaged students to rise above their circumstances. At the same time, the program contributes to tourism promotion and national development.”
The 2030 Charity Caravan is an annual event organized by the 2030 Business Club to provide underprivileged children with the means to pursue their schooling and improve their lives.
