HCMC – The Party Committee of the HCMC People’s Committee has appointed Duong Hong Thang, chief of office of the HCMC People’s Committee, and Pham Thi Thanh Hien, director of the HCMC Department of Home Affairs, as new members of the Standing Board of the Party Committee.
The Party Committee of the HCMC People’s Committee on the morning of September 25 held a ceremony to announce the two personnel decisions. Attending the event were Nguyen Van Duoc, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, together with deputy secretaries of the committee.
At the ceremony, Tran Van Nam, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the HCMC People’s Committee, formally announced the decisions on the appointments.
HCMC Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc commended Duong Hong Thang and Pham Thi Thanh Hien as officials with extensive experience who have risen through the ranks from the grassroots level and consistently delivered strong performance in their assigned roles. He expressed confidence that their addition would enhance the Party Committee of the HCMC People’s Committee.
Duong Hong Thang, 47, a native of HCMC, holds a master’s degree in engineering, a bachelor’s degree in construction, a bachelor’s degree in economics, and a degree in advanced political theory. He has extensive experience at the grassroots level, having previously served as chairman of the Hoc Mon District People’s Committee and vice chairman of the Binh Thanh District People’s Committee.
Pham Thi Thanh Hien, 46, also from HCMC, holds a master’s degree in public administration, a bachelor’s degree in sociology, a bachelor’s degree in economics with a focus on political economy, and a degree in advanced political theory.
