Lantern street lights up for Mid-Autumn

HCMC – Luong Nhu Hoc Street in Cho Lon Ward, HCMC has turned into a festive hotspot as the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, drawing thousands of visitors each night.

Stretching nearly 200 meters, the street dazzles with a mix of traditional and modern lanterns. Star-shaped lanterns, carps, and jade rabbits evoke childhood memories, while colorful LED designs add a contemporary touch.

Families bring their children to enjoy the atmosphere, young people flock here for photos, and foreign tourists capture the vibrant scenes.

With a history of more than 50 years tied to the Chinese community in Cho Lon, Luong Nhu Hoc has become a must-visit destination every Mid-Autumn season. Prices range from just a few dozen thousand dong for simple paper lanterns to several hundred thousand dong for elaborate or LED-lit models.

Beyond commerce, the lantern street is a cultural showcase. Adults reconnect with childhood traditions, children delight in playful designs, and visitors immerse themselves in a festival vibe.
