HCMC – HCMC recorded over VND233.5 trillion in tourism revenue in the first 11 months of 2025, equivalent to 80.5% of its full-year target.
In November alone, the city welcomed 780,000 international visitors, bringing the total so far this year to 7.37 million, or 73.8% of the 2025 goal. Domestic tourism remained the mainstay, with 4.2 million arrivals in November and 37.28 million over 11 months.
Tourism growth is supported by the continuous refreshment of city offerings. The HCMC Department of Tourism is finalizing a development plan through 2030, aligned with Decision 509/QD-TTg on national tourism spatial planning. Large-scale digital initiatives—including a sector-wide database, a 3D interactive tourism map, and a city tourism portal—are ready for deployment next year.
Key tourism products being promoted include culinary tourism, medical tourism, Long Son community tours, night-time tourism, helicopter sightseeing, Nam Ky Luc Tinh cultural tours, and Hoc Mon agricultural tourism.
Digital promotion reached more than 9.8 million social media impressions in November, with the “visithcmc” TikTok channel alone attracting over 2.2 million views. Internationally, HCMC appeared in key marketing events at WTM London, the Vietnam–HCMC Festival in Aichi, Japan, and in Copenhagen, Denmark.
In November, the city appraised three three-star hotels and two five-star hotels, inspected 14 accommodation facilities, and issued 59 international and 33 domestic tour guide cards. HCMC now has 1,842 travel firms, including 1,383 international operators. The city’s Tourist Information and Support Station welcomed 962 visitors, mainly from the UK, France, Russia, India, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Looking ahead to December, HCMC aims to accelerate tourism promotion through initiatives such as new check-in models, integration of lodging data into the ASM system, and expansion of night-time and waterway tourism products.
