HCMC — HCMC has put its Public Administrative Service Center into operation as part of its plan to streamline administrative procedures for residents and businesses.
The center, located at 43 Nguyen Van Ba Street in Thu Duc Ward, began welcoming residents today, December 29, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
Duong Van Thom, deputy director of the HCMC Public Administrative Service Center, said the facility is designed as a one-stop hub for administrative procedures under the city’s authority. It aims to replace a system in which clients had to deal with multiple agencies at different locations.
The city has established three facilities linked to the center, covering Thu Duc Ward and areas associated with the former Ba Ria–Vung Tau and Binh Duong, he said.
At the center, residents take queue numbers and are directed to service counters to complete procedures. Their requests are digitized and transferred electronically to competent agencies for processing. Results are returned in line with prescribed timelines.
The center has 67 transaction counters, with 61 currently in operation. It can handle between 800 and 1,000 transactions at the same time.
The center is working with the city’s Digital Transformation Center to complete its information technology system. All eligible administrative procedures are expected to be available as online public services, allowing residents to register and track applications digitally.
Processing timelines are monitored from intake through inter-agency handling to the delivery of results. Under procedures tested at several departments, application intake takes about five to 10 minutes on average.
Hotline numbers have been publicly listed to receive feedback and complaints related to administrative procedures and service conduct, the deputy director said.
