HCMC – HCMC will organize the annual Nguyen Hue flower street from January 29 to February 4, 2022 to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the country’s biggest festival of the year.
This seven-day flower festival will be organized on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, under the theme “Hometown spring – full of kindness”.
The opening ceremony will be from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on January 29, 2022. During that time, all vehicles will be banned from commuting on Nguyen Hue Boulevard and some surrounding streets.
According to Saigontourist Holding Group, the organizer of the event, the flower street will be under installation for 16 days, from January 13 to January 29, 2022. During that time, fountains on the Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street will be nonoperational, except for the lotus fountain.
Besides a wide variety of flowers, the flower street will also feature other events such as 26 food and beverage booths, the lion dance and musical performances, flower arrangements and vegetable carving.
Visitors will be required to strictly comply with Covid infection prevention and control measures such as wearing masks, using hand sanitizers and keeping a safe physical distance from each other.
HCMC has been organizing the Nguyen Hue flower street annually since 2004. The flower street has become one of the major cultural events and tourist attractions of the city during the Lunar New Year.
