Mondelez Kinh Do affirms its winning distribution strategy by extending footprints in Vietnam

As the snacking market in Vietnam is growing, Mondelez Kinh Do is focusing upon channel broadening of its wide range of delicious, high-quality snacks to maintain its leadership in the market.

Recently, Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate, the global icon and the most loved premium chocolate brand from the UK, has taken another concrete step to expand its footprints in Vietnam by installing Visicoolers (see-through refrigerators) at big grocery stores in HCMC.

Mondelez Kinh Do is investing heavily in sales infrastructure and route-to-market expansion for Cadbury Dairy Milk in Vietnam. Distribution is one of the barriers for real chocolates like Cadbury Dairy Milk in Vietnam, given the hot and wet weather conditions. So far, Cadbury Dairy Milk has been mostly distributed into modern trade channels, which include supermarkets, hypermarkets, or convenient stores where air conditioners are equipped.

To increase its presence and strengthen the distribution channels, Mondelez Kinh Do is installing the first 500 Visicoolers at big grocery stores in HCMC, and more to come in its nationwide supply chain after the pilot period.

Visicoolers will help chocolates be widely distributed into traditional trade, which will enable retailers to store and display the Cadbury Dairy Milk products better. Not only help bring the products closer to consumers, but Visicoolers also make chocolates more “ready to serve” to elevate consumers’ eating experience.

“Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing snacking markets and Mondelez Kinh Do has always been on the forefront of providing snacking choices to consumers both in space of sustenance and indulgence. We see massive potential for chocolate category in the Vietnam market and for our Global chocolate flagship brand, Cadbury Dairy Milk.  Mondelez’s State of snacking report suggests that 85% of consumers eat at least 1 snack for sustenance and 1 snack for indulgence every day and Cadbury Dairy milk will satisfy consumer’s need for that small treat for themselves and family. We have robust plans to make Cadbury Dairy Milk available to our consumers by increasing our visible presence in high-growth channels, and investing in display coolers in selected General trade stores also. We have also worked hard to ensure that our supply chain delivers very close to demand and the consumers are able to pick up Cadbury Dairy Milk from the retail shelves,”  said Mr. Sameer Yadav, Marketing Director of Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam.
