ACB to pay dividend for 2023

HCMC – Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB), whose ACB shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has announced a plan to pay a 10% cash dividend and a 15% share dividend for 2023.

Shareholders will receive the cash dividend on June 13. The lender will spend some VND3.88 trillion paying the cash dividend for its existing shareholders.

For the share dividend payment, shareholders will receive 15 new shares for every 100 shares held, but the timing of the payment has not been announced.

Regarding its business plan, ACB eyes VND22 trillion in after-tax profit in 2024, up 10% compared to the previous year.

On the southern bourse, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange shed 19.1 points today, or 1.49%, to 1,261.93 points due to sell-offs, with losers outnumbering winners by 364 to 93.

There were nearly 1.37 billion shares worth VND35.5 trillion traded on the southern exchange, skyrocketing by 42.53% in volume and 52.4% in value compared to yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions contributed nearly VND3.1 trillion to the overall value.

The VN30 basket was the main drag that took away more than 21 points from the overall index, with 25 stocks declining and only four stocks gaining.

Among them, ACB closed 2.8% higher with a trading volume of 33.85 million units. Other gainers included GVR with a rise of 2.5%, PLX with an increase of 1.7%, and STB with an uptick of 0.5%.

FPT pulled down the overall index by more than 1.7 points as it closed 4.1% lower at VND131,900. SHB took the lead by liquidity on the market with more than 39 million shares changing hands.

On the northern exchange, the HNX-Index shed 5.19 points, or 2.1%, against the day earlier to 241.72 points. The total trading volume reached 146.4 million shares, valued at VND3 trillion, up by 43% in volume and value against yesterday.
