HCMC – Retail giant AEON Vietnam is set to open the AEON Xuan Thuy general merchandise store and supermarket in Hanoi during the fourth quarter of 2024, following the recent launches of AEON Hue and AEON Ta Quang Buu.
AEON Vietnam aims to open a total of four general merchandise stores and supermarkets (GMS) in 2024 as part of its strategy to bring AEON’s high standards closer to local customers, according to a company announcement.
After over a decade in Vietnam, AEON has consistently expanded its operations, reinforcing its position in the country, which has become the AEON Group’s second most important market, following Japan.
With an investment exceeding US$1.5 billion, AEON has implemented strategies to diversify its retail models, adapting to the changing needs and behaviors of Vietnamese consumers, and offering convenient shopping experiences that enhance customers’ lifestyles.
Furusawa Yasuyuki, member of the Executive Board of AEON Group (Japan) and general director of AEON Vietnam, said: “AEON will accelerate the expansion of its network and open new business locations, increasing ‘touchpoints’ with customers. By growing our business system, AEON will not only contribute to Vietnam’s commercial infrastructure development but also promote the consumption of Vietnamese products through AEON’s distribution and retail network.”
