Alma Resort, the award-winning beachfront property in southern Vietnam, has launched Alma Discovery Camp, an interactive educational and recreational experience aimed at helping children connect with nature, farm animals, and sustainable agriculture.
Located near the resort’s Nursery Garden, the new camp welcomes children aged 4 to 14 and offers guided, hands-on learning experiences. Young participants can visit a working farm, feed and care for animals such as cows, goats, chickens, ducks, and rabbits, and explore a museum dedicated to Vietnamese agriculture. The farm also houses a variety of birds, with all animals regularly vaccinated and certified.
At the “Little Farmers’ Discovery Hall,” children can engage with exhibits highlighting agricultural staples such as coconut, coffee, mango, rice, salt, and pepper. Each display combines real-life tools and educational panels explaining local farming traditions. Every session concludes with a quiz and a Certificate of Completion, while the top scorer earns a Super Farm Explorer award.
“We are thrilled to launch Alma Discovery Camp, where kids can engage with nature and learn about sustainable farming in a fun and interactive way,” said Alma Resort Managing Director Herbert Laubichler-Pichler. “Our new experience nurtures curiosity and environmental awareness while creating lasting memories for young visitors.”
The two-hour guided tours, held daily at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., are priced at VND500,000 per person and include aprons, hats, and animal feed. Children can sample Vietnamese delicacies such as dried mango, coconut cookies, traditional rice cakes, and coffee during the experience.
Alma Discovery Camp adds to the resort’s extensive family-friendly offerings, which include a 6,000-square-meter water park, kids and youth clubs, a 75-seat cinema, and hands-on workshops in baking, pizza-making, and kite-flying. Alma was recently named Vietnam’s Best Family Resort by Holidays with Kids and ranked among Travel + Leisure’s top resorts worldwide in 2024.
