HCMC – Amazon Global Selling Vietnam has recently unveiled its 2024 business priorities with a range of solutions to support local businesses in building their global presence and accelerating cross-border e-commerce.
The platform is committed to enhancing its presence in Vietnam through three operational pillars: boosting the readiness of cross-border e-commerce, accelerating local supply chain integration, and elevating Vietnamese selling partner’s quality and success.
The endeavor is expected to foster the growing movement of e-commerce exports and drive Vietnamese business innovation and digital transformation, Amazon Global Selling said in a statement.
This ambitious strategy was announced during the fifth annual Amazon Cross-border E-commerce Summit in 2023 that was held in Hanoi and HCMC in mid-October. The event also coincided with the official opening of the Amazon Day-1 Vietnam Training Center and a new office in HCMC, Amazon’s first onsite training and networking center in the Southeast Asian country.
At the event, Amazon introduced a range of new tools and programs, such as Fee Waiver and Brand Tailored Promotion, to better accelerate cross-border e-commerce and make it easier for local businesses through every selling stage on Amazon.
Eric Broussard, vice president of Amazon’s Worldwide Global Selling and International Seller Services, said, “Vietnam is an emerging part of the global e-commerce supply chain. We value Vietnam’s manufacturing strength, entrepreneurial spirit, and rapid digital transformation.”
Data in the previous 12 months ending on August 31 showed that Vietnam has proven to be a dynamic export-driven economy as Amazon local partners achieved solid sales results. In particular, 17 million products from Vietnamese businesses were sold to Amazon customers worldwide, with the export value of local firms selling with Amazon increasing by half.
In addition, thousands of Vietnamese companies have captured their global expansion opportunity through Amazon’s platform, with the number of local selling partners soaring by 40%.
