HCMC – The final draft of the amended Land Law is slated to go before the National Assembly (NA) during the upcoming extraordinary session scheduled for January 15 to 17.

During the 29th session of the NA Standing Committee held this morning, January 8, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue asked lawmakers to deliberate on three crucial issues within the amended Land Law draft.

These issues include land recovery procedures for commercial housing projects and those for both commercial homes and services; land pricing methods and power for choosing land pricing methods; and land and land use conversion.

Chairman Hue stressed the importance of the revised law, saying it would have profound impacts on various aspects of the economy, society, the public, and the business community in the short and long terms.

The draft of the amended law has gone through rigorous review, with feedback from experts, scientists, and 12 million Vietnamese taken into account.

The National Assembly’s upcoming extraordinary session will also look into several other draft laws and pressing issues, including the amended Law on Credit Organizations.
