HCMC – Some 40,000 people, including dignitaries, service personnel, and parade units, are expected to join the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.

Tran Sy Thanh, chairman of the Hanoi City People’s Committee and head of the organizing committee, chaired a committee meeting this morning, June 11, to prep for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of Vietnam (September 2).

The anniversary ceremony, along with a military parade and march, is scheduled for the morning of September 2 at Ba Dinh Square and key central routes in Hanoi.

The Hanoi People’s Committee has directed local departments and agencies to carry out 10 key tasks in preparation for the 80th National Day celebration. These include mobilizing public participation, ensuring security, managing traffic flows, and preventing terrorism, unrest, and fire hazards.

The city will also install a grandstand with 30,000 seats, four LED screens, a sound system with 400 speakers, and five speaker clusters at key locations.
