Adrian Zecha, the legendary hotelier behind Aman Resorts and founder of Azerai, outlined his vision for the boutique brand during a visit to Azerai Ke Ga Bay and Azerai La Residence, Hue, ahead of the coastal resort’s fifth anniversary.

At 92, Zecha said he remains committed to developing hotels rooted in nature and local culture. “I feel my new journey is just beginning. There’s so much to do,” he told guests while touring Azerai Ke Ga Bay’s ginger forest.

Opened in 2020, Azerai Ke Ga Bay offers 56 suites and villas on a five-kilometer stretch of beach. The resort, tied closely to the surrounding fishing community, was recently ranked the world’s second “Most Instagrammable Hotel” by Luxury Travel Advisor and named one of Southeast Asia’s best boutique hotels by The Times of London.

Further north, Azerai La Residence, Hue, occupies a 1920s French colonial mansion overlooking the Perfume River. The 122-room property, once home to the French governor, has earned recognition from Time magazine’s “World’s 100 Greatest Places” and The Times of London’s list of Vietnam’s best hotels.
