Ba Canh kite field on Nguyen Thi Danh Street in Xuan Thoi Son Commune is a popular destination for outdoor leisure on the outskirts of HCMC.
The field comes alive in the late afternoon, typically from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., when cooler weather draws families, young people, and photography enthusiasts. Visitors gather to fly kites, enjoy the open space, or simply watch the sky fill with color.
Hundreds of kites of different sizes and designs are flown here. A highlight is the presence of giant kites stretching dozens of meters, shaped like octopuses, alligators, sharks, and cartoon characters. When the wind strengthens, these large kites rise high, creating a striking visual display.
