HCMC – Le Anh Duong was dismissed from his role as chairman of the Bac Giang Province People’s Committee during a provincial People’s Council meeting on the morning of October 8.
The council also relieved Le Thi Thu Hong from her position as vice chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, and Le O Pich from his role as vice chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.
Le Anh Duong, who began his term in 2021, had been disciplined twice during his tenure. In early 2023, Duong was reprimanded by the Central Inspection Commission and the prime minister for violations, including failure to adhere to the principles of democratic centralism, neglecting work regulations, and lacking responsibility in leadership.
In late August, Duong, along with Hong and Pich, was reprimanded by the Central Inspection Commission for their involvement in violations related to investment projects by Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company. Additionally, Duong received an administrative warning from the prime minister yesterday.
