HCMC – BaF Vietnam Agriculture JSC, whose BAF shares are traded on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, has approved a plan to issue more than 68.4 million shares via private placement to existing shareholders at a price of VND10,000 per share.
The ratio is set at 1:0,476767. Each shareholder with one share held will receive one purchasing right. With one million rights, they can buy an additional 476,767 shares at a price of VND10,000 per share.
BaF will start the share sale in the fourth quarter of this year, right after receiving approval from the State Securities Commission. The company is expected to mobilize more than VND684.2 billion from this share sale.
The company will use over VND165.1 billion of the total to supplement capital for pig farming, VND400 billion to enhance capital for agricultural business, and VND119.1 billion to increase the charter capital of its subsidiary companies.
Closing the trading session today, November 20, BaF inched down 0.58% over the previous session to VND25,500 per share, with more than three million shares changing hands.
On the southern bourse, the benchmark VN-Index added 2.47 points, or 0.22%, against the previous session, at 1,103.66 points, with 203 gainers and 314 losers.
Total trading volume reached nearly 1.26 billion shares worth VND24.3 trillion, down 33.3% in volume and 30.25% in value compared to the previous session. Block deals contributed over VND1.8 trillion to the overall value, with 90.59 million shares transacted.
The stocks of securities companies stole the spotlight on the southern bourse, as all of them experienced a rise this afternoon. Brokerage BSI hit the ceiling prices, while VND, VIX, and AGR increased by nearly 4%.
Notably, VIX took the lead by liquidity with 49.14 million units traded, followed by VND with 38.21 million units, and SSI with 26.5 million units. Among them, SSI is also the stock with the strongest increase in the VN30 basket.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index added 1.23 points, or 0.54%, ending the session at 227.77 points, with 73 winners and 80 losers. The trading volume on the northern market totaled 93.19 million shares, valued at VND1.8 trillion.
