Banks raise deposit interest rates

HCMC – Several banks have increased deposit interest rates, with some offering 6-6.3% annually for long tenors.

BVBank offers an annual rate of 6.3% for tenors of 18 to 24 months. For shorter terms, the bank has adjusted up rates to 3.8% and 4.05% per year for one-month and three-month deposits, respectively.

PVcomBank offers a high rate of 9.5% for 12-13 month deposits, though this rate applies only to deposits of at least VND2,000 billion.

HDBank has raised deposit rates to 8.1% for a 13-month term and 7.7% for a 12-month term for customers who maintain a minimum balance of VND500 billion.

MSB has set its rates at 8% for a 13-month term and 7% for a 12-month term, requiring a minimum deposit of VND500 billion. Customers must also hold a newly opened or automatically renewed savings account to qualify.

Some banks offer rates above 6% without special conditions for long-term deposits. IVB, GPBank, Cake by VPBank, and OceanBank provide rates ranging from 6% to 6.15% for terms between 12 and 36 months.
