HCMC – Bao Viet Value Investment Fund has increased its ownership in Becamex Infrastructure Development JSC (HOSE: IJC) through its acquisition on April 1 of more than 1.66 million IJC shares.
With this transaction, Bao Viet Value Investment Fund has raised its stake in Becamex IJC from 2.52% to 3.18%, or more than eight million IJC shares.
This investment fund also bought over 2.9 million IJC shares on March 25.
Regarding its business performance, Becamex IJC made VND1,184 billion in revenue in 2023, down by 29.1% year-on-year. Its after-tax profit dropped by 24.7% to VND371.8 billion.
Closing the trading session today, April 5, IJC plunged by 3.87% to VND14,900 per share, with more than 4.5 million shares transacted.
On the southern bourse, sell-offs led the VN-Index to drop below the 1,260-point threshold.
With losers outnumbering winners by 381 to 116, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange shed by 13.14 points, or 1.04%, to 1,255.11 points.
There were 1.08 billion shares worth nearly VND25.2 trillion changing hands, up by 10.2% in volume and 5.58% in value against yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions contributed VND836 billion.
The VN30 basket closed the session down by nearly 10 points. While 26 stocks in the basket were in negative territory, VPB and MWG gained by a modest 0.5%.
Real estate developer NVL stole the spotlight by rising 4.57% to VND18,300 per share, accompanied by an impressive trading volume of 108 million shares. Today marked the third session in history that NVL recorded a trading volume exceeding 100 million shares.
The Hanoi Stock Exchange saw 61 stocks rise and 106 stocks fall, with the HNX-Index edging down by 2.76 points, or 1.14%, to 239.68 points. The total trading volume reached 126.66 million shares worth nearly VND2.7 trillion.
