The Be app of Be Group has won the first prize of the Vietnamese Talents (Nhan Tai Dat Viet) contest. This is the only first prize in the information technology sector in the 16th contest.
Beginning as a ride-hailing firm, after three years, Be has expanded its ecosystem to encompass many sectors to serve Vietnamese residents’ daily demands, such as travel, cargo delivery, air and coach ticketing and digital banking. The Be app has been downloaded for 15 million times, while Be Group has created jobs for 300,000 drivers and been among the largest ride-hailing service providers in Vietnam.
In the digital banking sector, despite being launched over a year ago, the Cake digital bank, jointly developed by Be and VPBank, has been assessed as one of the fastest growing digital banks in Southeast Asia with 1.5 million bank accounts.
