‘Beautiful Life Journey’ contest honors inspiring stories

HCMC – Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company and the Saigon Times Foundation, a non-profit organization of the Saigon Times Group, have announced the winners of the “Beautiful Life Journey” contest, whose stories convey meaningful and positive messages about life.

Launched on November 20, 2020, the contest attracted some 400 students from across the country after one year. Each story had a different background, but encouraged a more meaningful, kind and positive lifestyle.

The first prize, worth VND25 million, went to Phan Ngoc Huong, a student of Duy Tan University, Danang, for the story titled “Youth Journey”. The story is about a charity group, Sunshine, which gathers students to support the community.

Three second prizes, worth VND15 million each, went to Nguyen Minh Trung, student of Van Hien University with the story “Behind the Achievements”; Tran Khanh Linh, student of Hanoi Medical University with the story “Good things will come to people that never give up”; and Le Ba Huynh Duc, student of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, with the story “To Give Is To Receive”.

The organizers also awarded six third prizes, worth VND7 million each, to Tran Thi Thin, Nguyen Thuy Trang, Duong Van Tinh, Nguyen Tat Minh, Ly Phuong Thanh and Doan Le Thy.

“The most favorite story” award worth VND10 million went to Tran Khanh Linh with the story “Good things will come to people that never give up”.

Four universities with the most entries, including Banking University of HCMC, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Van Hien University, and University of Danang – University of Economics, received VND15 million each.

Tran Khanh Vy from the organizing committee said, “Everyone of us has our own story and journey. There are efforts, sweat, hopes and passion that only we know. I believe that true stories are more powerful than any nice words. We can definitely inspire each other through these simple but personal stories.”
