HCMC – Site clearance for the first component of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway is essentially done, with construction now nesrly 46% complete, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and his delegation inspected the construction site of Component 1 of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway yesterday afternoon, August 14.
According to the Dong Nai Province Project Management Unit, site clearance for Component 1 has been essentially completed. Contractors are mobilizing manpower and equipment to accelerate construction, which has so far reached over 46% of total work value.
For construction materials, the project requires nearly 2.4 million cubic meters of embankment soil. Dong Nai Province has licensed extraction at six sites with a total volume of about 1.3 million cubic meters, while the remainder will be purchased by contractors from commercial quarries.
The project also needs over 700,000 cubic meters of stone, which authorities have fully sourced for contractors and quarry owners.
Nearly 50% of the required stone has already been delivered to the site. Overall, soil and stone supplies are essentially sufficient to meet the needs of Component 1.
The Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway is over 54 kilometers long, linking Dong Nai Province with HCMC. The section in Dong Nai spans more than 34 kilometers and is divided into two components.
The first component covers a 16 kilometer-long section, with a total investment of over VND6 trillion, and is managed by the Dong Nai Province Project Management Unit. The project is targeted for basic completion by the end of this year.
