Binh Dien Fertilizer beats 2025 profit target by 47% in Jan-Sept

HCMC – Binh Dien Fertilizer JSC (HOSE: BFC) reported strong business results for the first nine months of 2025, surpassing 47% of its full-year profit goal, according to a board resolution.

In the third quarter, the company produced 158,850 tons of fertilizer, down nearly 3% year-on-year, with sales falling 12.5% to 140,102 tons. Despite lower sales, its revenue edged up to VND2.09 trillion, while its consolidated pre-tax profit grew 12.1% to VND90.7 billion.

For the nine-month period, BFC generated VND8.29 trillion in revenue, up 18.3% year-on-year, and consolidated pre-tax profit of VND412.8 billion, up 1.6%. With an annual target of VND7.44 trillion in revenue and VND281 billion in pre-tax profit, the firm has already exceeded its full-year targets by 11.4% and 47%, respectively.

Closing the trading session today, October 16, BFC shares gained 0.72% to close at VND42,000, with 169,800 shares changing hands, valuing the company at around VND2.4 trillion.

The VN-Index added 8.9 points, or 0.51%, to a record close of 1,766.85 points, with 180 advancers and 129 decliners. Trading volume totaled 1.18 billion shares worth VND40.32 trillion, both slightly higher than the previous session.

Bluechips under the VN30 index continued to support the rally, rising 12.6 points with 13 gainers and 12 losers. Among top performers, MSN hit its ceiling price at VND88,200, up 6.9%, while VJC surged 6.4% to a record high of VND173,500.

The real estate sector was the session’s standout, led by DXG and DIG, both hitting ceiling prices. DXG jumped 6.9% to VND22,450 with foreign investors net-buying over 11 million shares.

Meanwhile, banking, securities, and steel stocks saw mild divergence, with most actively traded bank stocks ending in the red. SHB led market liquidity with 89.6 million shares, slipping 0.3%, while VPB and MBB edged down 1.5% and 0.2%, respectively.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 0.96 point, or 0.35%, to 277.08, with 78 advancers and 70 decliners. Trading volume totaled 105.8 million shares worth VND2.61 trillion.
