HCMC – As Covid-19 has spread to more localities such as Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces, Binh Dinh Province has issued a dispatch banning sea bathing and suspending dine-in services from today, June 24, until further notice.
The dispatch was signed by Binh Dinh Chairman Nguyen Phi Long this afternoon, the local media reported.
Under the order, food stalls and eateries along National Highway 1A are only allowed to offer takeaway services, while coffee shops and restaurants or eateries in the province will temporarily suspend in-person services from 9.00 p.m. today.
To prevent the spread of Covid-19, the provincial Department of Transport also suspended passenger transport services between Binh Dinh and other virus-hit localities.
The authorities of communes, towns and districts and Quy Nhon City were tasked with imposing harsh sanctions on those who do not wear face masks in public places.
In another development, Ranh Gia City in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang has asked eateries and restaurants in the city to shut down for five days from 12.00 p.m. today after four Covid-19 cases were detected.
Besides, the city locked down Quarter 2 in Vinh Thong Ward and Alley 673 on Lo Lien Huong Street, which are linked to the Covid-19 cases, to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
