HCMC – The government of Binh Thuan Province has requested HCMC to support the south-central province with 100,000 Covid-19 vaccine doses to increase its vaccination rate.
Nguyen Minh, vice chairman of the provincial government, recently wrote to the HCMC government and Health Department seeking vaccine supply assistance from the city, reported Phap Luat newspaper.
He said in the dispatch that up to now, the province has reported more than 4,300 cases, including 62 deaths. The vaccination rate in the province remains lower than the national average.
Therefore, to meet the Government’s provisional regulations on safely living with the pandemic, Binh Thuan asked for vaccine support from HCMC to aid the province’s anti-Covid effort, curtail the spread of the coronavirus in the community, and bring the daily lives of local residents to a new normal at the earliest.
