HCMC – Many tourists flocked to Doi Duong beach in Phan Thiet City on March 24 to join a hot-air balloon festival organized for the first time in the south-central coastal province of Binh Thuan.
The hot-air balloon festival was held to celebrate the National Tourism Year 2023, themed “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence.”
Some 25 colorful balloons were arranged to fly in place for visitors to see and take photos.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People’s Committee of Phan Thiet City to organize the festival to improve local tourism and promote the image of Binh Thuan among international tourists.
Binh Thuan expects to attract more than 6.7 million visitors in 2023 and hopes tourism will become one of the three key economic sectors of the province. In 2022, Binh Thuan welcomed over 5.7 million tourists.
