HCMC – The expansion of the Cam Lo-La Son Expressway from two to four lanes is expected to be completed by 2025, according to the Ministry of Transport.
The ministry has written to the Quang Tri People’s Committee regarding the upgrade of the narrow Cam Lo-La Son Expressway and has tasked the Department for Roads of Vietnam with assessing traffic management, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
A preliminary feasibility study report for the expressway widening project has been submitted to the Government, with plans to use public investment funds for the project. Once all legal procedures are completed, the project is expected to be funded and largely completed by 2025.
The Cam Lo-La Son Expressway spans 98.35 kilometers, with 36.3 kilometers in Quang Tri Province and 62.05 kilometers in Thua Thien-Hue Province.
The expansion project will increase the expressway from two to four lanes, with an estimated total investment of around VND7,000 billion.
