HCMC – The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho is working on a VND2,100-billion plan to build five overpasses at key intersections in the downtown area.
The planned construction sites are major crossroads between the city’s most-crowded streets, including Ba Thang Hai, Ba Muoi Thang Tu, Nguyen Van Cu, Nguyen Van Linh and Mau Than.
The four-lane overpasses will be constructed in the 2023-2030 period, with 80% of investment capital sourced from the Asian Development Bank.
The city said that the plan would help improve traffic infrastructure, ease congestion and promote socio-economic development in Can Tho.
