HCMC – Cat Ba Island off the coast of Haiphong City has emerged as one of the most searched destinations in Vietnam this year, according to the latest data from Agoda.
Situated in the Gulf of Tonkin, Cat Ba is famous not only for the untouched beauty of Lan Ha Bay and its stunning pristine beaches but also for its opportunities for nature exploration, beach activities, and trekking in the national park. Specifically, the island is set to introduce a series of new entertainment offerings this summer.
Among the key highlights is the world’s largest jet ski and fireworks show themed “Symphony of Green Island.” The show will debut in Vietnam on May 15, running for 30 minutes from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. throughout the four summer months. The event is produced by international organizers H2O Events and Laser Vision. The spectacle will feature 20 jet ski racers carving light trails on the water, eight flyboard performers executing aerial acrobatics, and three LED-clad jazz dancers.
Additionally, the VUI-Fest Night Market, a green market model where all stalls use environmentally friendly materials, will offer food stalls, live acoustic music, craft beer, carnival-style games, and cultural experiences such as henna art and Tarot reading.
Infrastructure will undergo upgrade, including cable cars, electric buses connecting the cable car station to the town center, and electric buggies within the bay area, making transportation to and around the island more convenient and eco-friendly.
