Having cycled for three years now, the life of a retiree has been livelier thanks to his trips to new places, and his health has been better thanks to such regular cycling trips. Le Quang Hieu, 68, who lives in HCMC, fell victim to a traffic accident many years ago. At that time, he was advised to undertake a knee ligament surgery. However, instead of opting for an operation, he decided to do physical exercises to heal the knee ligament injury step by step. He also shifted to a healthier lifestyle. He began to cycle at the age of 65 just to see many benefits brought about by this sport. Having retired for eight years, Hieu says the three years joining the cycling community helps him live a happier and healthier life, and learn more about the beautiful sceneries around him. At first, he cycled short distances just to familiarize his muscles and to heal his knee ligament injury. Later, together with other old and young cyclists, he tried to cycle farther and faster.
