A closer look at net-zero carbon

By adopting sustainable practices in event management, the ESG Forum 2024 held in HCMC on June 13 this year demonstrated the feasibility of net-zero emissions efforts in Vietnam’s MICE industry. Actionable practices Nguyen Cong Minh Bao, co-founder of ESGs & Climate Consulting, the carbon assessment partner of the ESG Forum, noted that ESG initiatives are often overlooked due to financial and time constraints and a lack of expertise. The ESG Forum served as a “practical example” of how sustainability can be achieved even with limited resources, he said. To assist businesses in their sustainability efforts, ESGs & Climate Consulting’s simplified carbon assessment platform, developed with a Swiss partner, makes carbon footprint tracking more accessible. This platform played a key role in the ESG Forum’s comprehensive carbon assessment, contributing to its net-zero commitment. The ESG Forum 2024, organized by The Saigon Times in coordination with the EuroCham Green Growth Sector Committee (GGSC), and the ESG & Sustainable Business Transition Alliance, employed a multi-faceted approach to reduce its environmental impact.
