Luxury tourism potential

The October 17 Danang City visit by five Gulfstream jets with high-profile passengers onboard has drawn attention and shown the city’s potential for luxury tourism growth. Luxury tourism on the rise At a tourism event in Danang, Tran Chi Cuong, vice chairman of the Danang People’s Committee, highlighted how the visit by upscale guests for an annual conference, along with their exploration of the city, underscores Danang’s potential to become a prime destination for tourists with deep pockets. The city has become a frequent host of major events, including the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting and related meetings, which attracted dignitaries, heads of state, and notable figures such as Bill Gates. “Danang aims to be not only a leading destination in Asia but a premier global event venue,” Cuong said, noting that this goal is part of the city’s broader mission, as outlined by the Politburo in Resolution 43, to transform Danang into an international tourism hub. Danang has been promoting “luxury tourism” and “high-quality tourism” as key areas for growth.
