Empowering education and uplifting lives
Cathay Life Vietnam began its 2025 CSR journey by reaffirming its dedication to education — the cornerstone of sustainable development.
On the occasion of its 17th anniversary, the company donated VND100 million to the Quang Nam Province Study Promotion Association, helping nurture young talents and strengthen educational opportunities in local communities.
Beyond financial support, this contribution embodies Cathay Life’s conviction that knowledge is the most powerful investment in the nation’s future.
At the same time, the company continued its mission of care and compassion through healthcare initiatives. On July 3, 2025, Cathay Life Vietnam presented VND80 million to the “Bright Tomorrow” Fund for Cancer Patients at the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital (Facility II), offering crucial support to patients battling life-threatening illnesses.
Including additional contributions later in the year, total assistance for cancer patients in 2025 reached VND135 million, reinforcing the company’s unwavering dedication to sharing love and lightening the burden of those in need.
Spreading compassion to uplift communities
Continuing its philanthropic journey, on September 13, 2025, Cathay Life Vietnam joined hands with the Insurance Supervisory Authority Youth Union and the National Children’s Hospital Youth Union to support residents of Huoi Mot Commune, Son La Province, a region heavily affected by natural disasters. In the true spirit of “Mutual Support and Solidarity,” Cathay Life contributed 150 sets of student desks and chairs worth VND200 million to local kindergartens and ethnic boarding schools. The donation not only improved the children’s learning environment but also rekindled hope and motivation after months of hardship caused by floods.
Cathay Life Vietnam’s compassion also extends to hospitals in urban areas. On October 3, 2025, the company organized the “Mid-Autumn Festival Night” at the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, bringing warmth and joy to young cancer patients.
Through 350 pizzas and thoughtful gifts, Cathay Life created a festive evening filled with laughter and love, offering comfort to children who must spend the holiday away from home.
Walking for a greener tomorrow
Rounding off its 2025 CSR activities, Cathay Life Vietnam launched the “Planting Trees with Every Step 2025” campaign — a unique initiative combining health, community spirit, and environmental protection. The program attracted over 6,000 participants, collectively recording 548 million steps, which will translate into 10,582 melaleuca trees planted at Mua Xuan Farm in Hau Giang Province.
This initiative goes beyond symbolic action — it contributes directly to the restoration of headwater forests and the preservation of Vietnam’s fragile ecosystems. The image of the green tree in Cathay Life’s logo has come to life through each sapling planted, representing growth, care, and sustainability for generations to come.
