CDC to issue nearly 8.8 million bonus shares

HCMC – Chuong Duong Joint Stock Company (HOSE: CDC) has announced plans to issue bonus shares and make an additional capital contribution to its subsidiary Chuong Duong Homeland Joint Stock Company.

The company will close the shareholder list on October 17, 2025, to issue nearly 8.8 million bonus shares at a 100:20 ratio, meaning shareholders will receive 20 new shares for every 100 shares held.

The total issuance value is around VND88 billion. The fund will be sourced from retained earnings and share premium as reflected in the company’s audited 2024 financial statements. Once completed, CDC’s charter capital will increase from over VND439.8 billion to VND527.7 billion.

In addition, the company has approved a plan to offer up to 52.8 million shares to existing shareholders at VND10,000 each, with a 1:1 subscription ratio, allowing shareholders to buy one new share for every share they hold.

CDC will also contribute an additional VND150 billion to Chuong Duong Homeland, bringing its total capital contribution to VND381.34 billion, equivalent to a 56.24% stake. The transaction will be executed within 30 days from October 3, 2025.

At the close of today’s session, CDC fell by 0.31%, to VND32,300, with 611,800 shares changing hands.

The VN-Index dropped 10.20 points, or 0.6%, to 1,685.3 points, with 77 gainers and 247 decliners. Trading volume reached nearly 880 million shares worth VND25.6 trillion, down over 18% in volume and 19% in value compared to the previous session.

Bluechips mostly fell, with 21 decliners. Bank stocks STB, TPB, and SSB slid more than 2% each, while others lost slightly.

SSI, HPG, and SHB were the most actively traded stocks, with SHB taking the lead at over 85.6 million shares, followed by SSI and HPG with more than 40.5 million shares each.

Mid- and small-cap stocks, especially in the property and construction sectors, came under selling pressure. TCD was the biggest loser, plunging 6.6% to its floor price of VND1,830, with 7.64 million shares changing hands.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index edged down 1.82 points, or 0.66%, to 272.87 points, with 42 gainers and 104 decliners. Total trading volume reached 107.1 million shares worth VND2.49 trillion, iincluding block transactions of 28.2 million shares valued at VND744.3 billion.
