Central Inspection Commission has new chief

HCMC – The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam has elected Nguyen Duy Ngoc as member of the Politburo and chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.

According to an announcement from the Office of the Party Central Committee, the Party Central Committee opened its plenum in Hanoi today afternoon (January 23).

At the meeting, the Party Central Committee allowed Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member, permanent member of the Secretariat, and chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, to discontinue holding the post of Central Inspection Commission chairman to focus on his duties as permanent member of the Secretariat.

Three new members were elected to the Central Inspection Commission, namely Nguyen Duy Ngoc, secretary of the Party Central Committee, and chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee; Nguyen Hong Linh, member of the Party Central Committee and secretary of the Dong Nai Province Party Committee; and Doan Anh Dung, deputy secretary of the Binh Thuan Province Party Committee, and chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Thuan. And Nguyen Duy Ngoc was then elected as head of the Central Inspection Commission, replacing Tran Cam Tu.
