HCMC – The 13th Party Central Committee (PCC) has elected two new members to the Central Inspection Commission on the final day of its 10th plenum, according to a statement released by the PCC Office today, September 20.

The newly elected members include Ha Quoc Tri, deputy secretary of Khanh Hoa Province’s Party Committee and head of the provincial National Assembly delegation, and Dinh Van Cuong, head of the region division I of the Central Inspection Commission Agency.

The Central Inspection Commission now has 23 members, led by Tran Cam Tu, member of both the Politburo and the Secretariat. The commission earlier had three members elected during the eighth plenum of the 13th PCC in October 2023.

The commission is tasked with overseeing the enforcement of Party rules and ensuring Party discipline.

In the closing session of the three-day plenum today, the 13th PCC proposed potential candidates for the 14th Politburo and Secretariat in 2026-2031, and added to the list of nominees for the 14th PCC.

The PCC members also reviewed socioeconomic and financial-budgetary matters, including the proposal of the establishment of Hue as a centrally-run city and the investment proposal for the North-South high-speed rail line.
