HCMC – Vietnam exported an estimated 84,000 tons of coffee in September worth US$477 million, a 0.1% decrease in volume but a 3.7% rise in value against August, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
Compared to a year earlier, coffee exports surged 63.5% in volume and 66.3% in value.
In the first nine months of 2025, exports reached 1.23 million tons, earning US$6.98 billion. That marked an 11.1% rise in volume and a 61.4% increase in value over the same period last year.
The average export price in September was estimated at US$5,679 per ton, up 3.8% from August and 1.7% from a year earlier. The nine-month average price stood at US$5,658 per ton, 45.3% higher year-on-year.
Robusta coffee exports totaled 949,600 tons worth US$4.91 billion, up 5.8% in volume and 57.3% in value. Arabica shipments reached 60,500 tons, bringing in US$401.3 million, up 13.2% in volume and 120.3% in value from a year earlier.
Processed coffee exports earned US$1.18 billion in the nine-month period, up 63.5% year-on-year.
The U.S. was Vietnam’s fourth-largest coffee market in the first seven months of the year, importing 70,600 tons worth US$412.4 million. Shipments to the U.S. dropped 12.7% in volume but rose 49% in value.
