HCMC – Coteccons Construction JSC, which trades its CTD shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, will pay a 10% cash dividend for 2024, with the record date set for December 25.
Shareholders will get VND1,000 for every share held. The payment is scheduled for January 14, 2025. With 99.93 million outstanding shares, the construction firm will pay nearly VND100 billion.
Bolat Duisenov, the company’s board chairman, said at an investors meeting on September 18 that the current price of CTD shares does not reflect the company’s performance. He attributed the stock’s recent underperformance to broader challenges in the real estate sector.
Closing the trading session today, December 10, CTD edged up by 0.74% to VND68,300 per share, with a matching volume of 880,600 shares.
The VN-Index slid 1.77 points, or 0.14%, at 1,272.07 points on Tuesday, with 170 winners and 223 losers.
Trading volume and value dropped 17% and 14% over the previous session, respectively. Over 631.4 million shares worth VND14.45 trillion were traded and block deals accounted for 131.8 million shares valued at a total of VND2.9 trillion.
Bluechips in the VN30 basket saw limited movement. BVH rose by 1.7%, and POW gained 1.2%, easing off their earlier highs. HDB picked up by 3.7% to VND28,000 per share, hitting its intraday high, with nearly 20 million HDB shares changing hands, the highest since February 2022.
HPG recorded significant trading activity. With 32.6 million shares changing hands, HPG was the most actively traded stock on the southern exchange, although it advanced by less than 1%.
The HNX-Index closed nearly unchanged at 229.24 points, up by a fractional 0.03 point over the session earlier, with 73 advancers and 80 decliners. Trading volume on the northern market reached 45.2 million shares worth VND812.5 billion.
